I went into life drawing class yesterday determined to try and shake things up a bit by working a lot smaller than my usual A1 (84cm x 59cm) in order to try and focus on simplified/’bigger’ shapes, rather than get bogged down in trying to represent every plane of the figure.
Whilst the ‘finished’ results may not demonstrate it fully, I certainly felt this approach really helped and will definitely be repeating this exercise. Plus, I think I’m in love with terre verte!
