This painting was worked up from a sketch from a life drawing class. It seeks to emphasise the beautiful coloration of the model’s skin under the mixed influences of both natural and artificial light, whilst also playing with Cubist ideas of the contradictions of representing a figure in 3d space on a 2d surface.
It is painted in acrylics on paper mounted on cradled board (i.e. a frame may not be required, depending on personal taste)
